In loving
memory...

Truman was
a rescue that came to us (with Cody) at 9 years of age.
He had several medical issues...DCM (Dilated Cardiomyopathy), diabetes,
advanced hip dysplasia and, to add insult to injury, he was cross-eyed.
He was, to be sure, a mess, but his 'issues' never deterred him from the
'task at hand'. He made himself the official greeter here at Featherwind,
and when the van-loads of children from the local "Boys and Girls Clubs"
arrived, the first thing they saw was a grinning, cross-eyed bear-dog.
Even the most intimidated child would finally succumb to Truman's
persistent
'woof' and non-stop tail wag and would come out of the
van to be thoroughly
slimed. We would hear chorus' of "eeww, that's
gross" - only to see each
child going back for more!
You filled our hearts and home with
so much love.
You brought such joy and delight to everyone that met you.
You will be greatly missed.
We helped Truman cross the Bridge, two short years later, on September 14, 2002.
